We are so close to Moshiach that Hashem isn’t even bothering to hide His mighty hand. Today (Dec 31, 2006) is the 10th of Teveth on the Hebrew calendar, a fast day that commemorates the beginning of Nebuchadnezzar’s siege of Jerusalem that led to the destruction of our first Holy Temple by the Babylonians (ancient Iraq).
Several leading Israeli Kabbalists have said on frequent occassions that Sadaam Hussein was a gilgul (reincarnation) of Nebuchadnezzar. Sadaam was ever so proud of that fact, for he wanted again to destroy and capture Jerusalem. He tried to rebuild Babylon to its former glory. All of the the tank divisions in his army were named after great Babyonian kings. Most importantly, Saddam, of all on his coins he minted: 2500 years of glory: From Nebuchadnezzar to Saddam Hussein. Instead, he met his bitter end at the noose yesterday morning, the day before his previous soul seiged the walls of Jerusalem.
Yesterday was also the start of Id il Adha, Islam’s holiday of the sacrifice – look what sacrifice Hashem gave them.
Hashem is showing us that if we all wake up, He can turn everything around for the very best with a snap of the fingers. All we have to do is open our eyes.
